You become what you think

You become what you think: Reshaping your thoughts

In the journey of life, as God has His own part, we have our own part as humans to play. God is always willing to play His part but He will never play your part for you no matter how long you fast, pray. God can only intervene in our parts if we have done all we could to the very best

Some weeks ago, I was immersed in the thought of how my future will be like until I came across the Book of Philippians 4:8.

The New Living Translation Bible (NLT) of Philippians 4:8 says – “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

This verse of the Bible made me understand that I should fix my thoughts and put my worries in the hands of the Lord. God says in (Jeremiah 29:11), “For I know the (thoughts) that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”

You become what you think

Do you know God’s plan for your life?

Do you know the way to the plan?

I guess our answer to the questions above is a “NO”. The answer is God because even our parents, neighbors, friends, families, or ourselves don’t know. If our lives are a journey, the only person that knows if we are on a right track or not is God and that is why He says, “All things work together for your good (Romans 8:38).

Then, I can’t place the reason why we all get tensed up, anxious or worried when things aren’t going as planned. Why must you consider those that mock your present condition, these people are only ignorant of God’s plan for your life.

However, in the journey of life, as God has His own part, we have our own part as humans to play. God is always willing to play His part but He will never play your part for you no matter how long you fast, pray. God can only intervene in our parts if we have done all we could to the very best.

Let every day be channeled towards taking actions towards our plans and goals, no matter how little the beginning can be.

We should make use of the opportunity of being the best we can be in life by considering what is at our disposal such as time, friends, environment, our human resources, etc.

Let us all ponder on the future implications of our actions and we should never blame anyone for our situation by making sure we take responsibility.

John 9:4 (Living Bible), “All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned by the one who sent me, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end.”

In taking responsibility for our actions as Christians, we have to have the mind of Christ in everything we do not compromise with the world’s ways and patterns. Compromising leads to distorted thoughts.
