“A heart that beats is one that is capable of loving and receiving love”
– Kudabo Victory
We live in a world, the Bible calls it ‘the last days’ filled with more of the dark side than the bright one; but as believers there comes a moment in our lives where we are torn between sides and often times a lot of us concludes that, there exists not enough love in the world we live in. In this blog post, I will be giving us Five Bible Verses that will serve as a daily reminder to us about God’s endless and reckless love for us, his children and creatures.
Do you ever wonder if truly you are loved by God? Or perhaps you find this kind of love from God too surreal to be true? The Bible contains all the answers we all need, after all the Bible commands us to search through the scriptures so we can get answers to our questions.
How big is God’s love for us? Bigger than the oceans or wider than the sea, someone once said God’s love is vaster than the mountains, just like dandelions that blooms beautifully, it calms the mind and refreshes the soul but here is what God’s love means to me, God’s love is the impossibility and incapability of man but the possibility of him who truly is the sovereign one.
What does the Bible have to say about God’s love towards us all?
- God’s love for us is the Saving kind of love
1 John 4: 9-10
9 True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.
10 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
- God’s love for us is the Sonship kind of love for we are called sons and daughters of a great God. That’s admirable, isn’t it?
1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
- God’s love for us is the Supreme kind of love, it supersedes every other form of love we can ever receive from mere mortals
1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

- God’s love for us is Superlative because it is the highest form of love we humans can receive; a love that shines through death.
John 3:16, 17
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. 17 God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.
- God’s love for us is Soothing because it comes with an assurance of an unfailing promise and covenant that will last through ages
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
